What hosts ask before they start. Already using Bienvue? The help center walks through every screen.
Plans & Billing
Can I have a Host Plan and a Hospitality Plan on the same account?
Yes. You can manage standalone rentals and multi-room properties together in one dashboard. Vacation rentals use the Host Plan (starting at $89 a year or $9 a month, with up to 5 screens each). Multi-room properties use the Hospitality Plan ($3 a month per room billed annually, which is $36 a year, or $3.50 a month billed monthly). All your properties appear on a single invoice.
How does the free tier work?
You can sign up, build your guide, and share a web link or QR code with guests for free for one property. When you are ready to put your guide on TV screens, you can upgrade to the Host Plan. The free plan includes Bienvue branding and a shared web address for a single user. Custom branding, custom links, and team invites come with our paid plans.
Do I pay less per home as I add more?
Yes. On annual billing, your first home is $89 a year. Homes 2 through 5 are $45 each, homes 6 through 20 are $25 each, and any home after that is $10. Adding a home never raises the price of your earlier homes. On monthly billing, your first home is $9 a month, followed by $4.99, $2.49, and $0.99 across the same tiers.
What happens when I add a home partway through the year?
You only pay for the time left in your billing period at that home's tier rate. We show you the exact prorated total before charging your card. If you are still on a free trial, you are not charged until the trial ends.
What if I remove a home?
The home is archived right away and removed from your bill at your next renewal. We do not refund unused time on your current billing period. If you change your mind, you can restore an archived home and its settings within two months.
What if a home has more than 5 televisions?
The Host Plan covers up to 5 screens per home, which is plenty for most rentals. If you have a large estate or multi-story cabin that needs more, contact us and we will raise the screen limit for that property.
What does "up to 5 screens" mean?
Most vacation rentals have multiple TVs, such as in the living room and bedrooms. Other services charge for every screen. Bienvue includes up to 5 screens for each property under one flat price.
I run a small B&B. Which plan is right for me?
If you have one or two rooms, choose the Host Plan. It gives you one guide and covers up to 5 screens across your property. The Hospitality plan starts at 3 rooms and offers up to 2 screens per room, room-by-room management, and priority support. You can check your price with the calculator on our pricing page.
Can I pause my subscription during the off-season?
You cannot pause your subscription, but you can cancel anytime from your dashboard. Your screens will keep working through the end of your paid billing period. After that, you can keep one property on the free guide, while any others are archived for two months. If you return within two months, your properties and settings are restored. You can also export a full backup of your photos and guide content before canceling.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can cancel with a single click in your host dashboard at any time. When you cancel, your screens remain active through the end of your paid billing period, and your plan will not renew.
Do you offer Bienvue to nonprofits?
Yes. Registered nonprofits can use Bienvue for free, including in-room TV screens. Whether you host families during hospital stays, provide temporary housing, or welcome community members in need, we are glad to help. Contact us about your organization and we will set you up.
Are there any setup fees, activation costs, or hidden hardware charges?
None. There are no setup fees, activation costs, or required contracts. You can run Bienvue on devices you already own, including Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, Android TV, Google TV, and smart TVs. If you want help building your guide, we offer an optional setup service where our team creates it for you. Printed waterproof binders are also coming soon.
Hardware & Setup
What TVs are supported?
Bienvue runs on Roku, Apple TV (tvOS 26+), Fire TV (Android and Vega OS), Android TV, Google TV, and smart TVs (Samsung Tizen and LG webOS).
How long does setup take, and do I need technical expertise?
Setup takes less than two minutes per TV. Download the Bienvue app on your TV or streaming player, enter the 6-character code shown on screen into your host dashboard, and your guide pairs instantly. You do not need any cables, special hardware, or network configuration.
Do I need commercial TV contracts or dedicated hospitality hardware?
No. Bienvue runs on standard consumer streaming devices and smart TVs (Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, Android TV, Google TV) without commercial contracts, special wiring, or extra equipment. It works right alongside your guests' regular streaming apps and live TV.
Guest Experience & Reliability
What happens if the property loses internet access during a stay?
The guide stays on screen. Each television keeps a copy of your latest published guide, including Wi-Fi details, house rules, and emergency contacts. Guests can still read it while the internet is down. Once the connection returns, the screen automatically updates with any changes.
Can guests access the guide on their smartphones while out exploring?
Yes. Guests can scan a QR code on the TV or open a link in their phone's browser. They can view your house manual, recommendations, and check-out instructions on the go, with no app to install and no account to create.
Can I match the guide to my property’s look?
Yes. Every plan lets you feature your own photos and choose an accent color that fits your property. The Host and Hospitality plans also let you replace our logo with your own. Guest screens are always clean and ad-free.
Operations & Multi-Property
How do content updates work after screens are already paired?
Publish from your dashboard or phone, and every paired TV updates within seconds. You can update your Wi-Fi password, change house rules, or add a new local spot without restarting the TV or visiting the property.
Can co-hosts, property managers, or staff access the dashboard?
Yes, on the Host and Hospitality plans. You can invite teammates by email so everyone signs in with their own account without sharing passwords. Team members can edit and publish guides and pair screens. User roles (member, admin, or owner) control who can invite others, export data, and manage billing.
